As an avid sportsman, Joe Weede, played football in high school and college, and after graduation, got "hooked" on  the sports of golf and billiards. Joe constantly looked for ways to improve his game in the sports, both in technique and equipment. Joe designed and introduced the "straddle" putter, which gave the golfer a truer look at the line of the putt. Joe opened an innovative Par 3 golf course which contained all the elements of a 18 hole championship golf course, including lakes, water hazards,multiple tee boxes, sand traps, and elevated, undulating greens, allowing players to practice in a challenging championshipship-like environment. Playing billiards at night with his buddies, Joe realized that the constant use of cue powder, not only damaged his cue, table, and clothes, but the gunk that ultimately collected on the cue, prevented the neccesary smooth, even stroke required to be continually accurate in billiards.
